Personal Reflection

I have been researching high-IQ individuals listed on the World Genius Directory, and I’ve observed several common traits among this group: strong abstract thinking, rapid learning ability, and exceptional creativity.

However, many of them also exhibit certain unfavorable psychological tendencies:

1. A tendency toward intense self-reflection and existential anxiety.
2. A preference for independent thinking, often accompanied by a dislike for superficial social interaction.
3. Heightened emotional sensitivity, making them more prone to anxiety or depression.
4. A persistent feeling that it is difficult to find someone who truly understands them.

In search of deeper insight, I turned to the ancient wisdom of Chinese philosophy. I spent five years deeply studying and contemplating the Diamond Sutra and the Tao Te Ching. It was only after meeting a wise teacher that I began to truly understand their meaning.

Due to religious regulations, I have chosen to interpret these teachings through the lens of philosophy—expressed in simple, accessible language intended to provoke thought and reflection, not bound to any doctrine.The views I share are purely personal. I welcome criticism, but I will not change my path—because I believe you are a person capable of independent and thoughtful reflection.

Personal Reflection

The smartest people in the world are the most interesting. They are the weirdest, strangest, most idiotic bunch of geniuses you’ll ever meet and will knock your socks off if you give them the chance.

The world is full of flavour and colour and yet most of us are tasteless and colourblind in our important life choices – intelligence is the magic key to creating bigger boxes for ourselves!

Intellect is a quality that should be consciously and deliberately developed as a resource, just like education and specific skill-sets. Learning how to think, and think well, is a skill that has been vastly under-acknowledged and is hypoutilised, to the detriment of society and humanity. I suggest classes should be developed and integrated in all levels of schooling for critical, intelligent and creative thinking to utilise this most important resource of all.

Life is short. Very short.

We can either indulge ourselves in the common-media worldview that is projected through our TV and internet screens and enjoy what life has to offer at the expense of people we will never meet, or we can look to see the world as it is with it’s poverty, injustice, suffering and extinctions – and then seek to change it, minimising further damage and even prevent it.

As people with greater perceptions and cognition I believe intellectuals have a responsibility to seek to change the false common worldview and enlighten the rest to the true state-of-affairs – in order to change it – because it is now a becoming a matter of adapt-ordie.

Clever people are useful for doing complicated things, and genius for creating nature’s new wonders, but the Homo Genii is required for saving our world, and we don’t have enough of them doing this – yet.
